    Tour begins: 6:00 PM, Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, Bergen or Clarion Collection Havnekontoret. A transfer is included upon arrival from Bergen Airport to yout hotel in Bergen, steps from the wharf district. Join us tonight for a welcome dinner overlooking Bergen Harbor.

    Day 2

    A local guide leads you on a walking tour of the historic Bryggen harbor area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in cosmopolitan Bergen, one of Nothern Europe's oldest port cities, with free time to explore as you wish. Visit a traditional Norwegian stave church before heading to Troldhaugen, the home of Edvard Grieg, Norway's greatest composer. After your guided tour, enjoy a reception and a private piano convert featuring Grieg's music. Embark your yacht, Le Boreal, in time for dinner onboard.

    Day 3

    During a morning at sea cruising to fjord country, our onboard lecturer gives a talk, sharing insights about the region. After lunch, disembark in Olden, a village on Nordfjord, for a gondola ride to the summit of Mt. Hoven followed by a choice of shore excursions. Drive into the scenic Loen Valley for a boat cruise and a guided walk that rewards with views of Kjenndal Glacier. Or, journey to Jostedalsbreen National Park for a troll car ride and a walk amidst scenic vistas to Briksdal Glacier, set between roaring waterfalls and high peaks.

    Day 4

    Dock in Hellesylt this morning for a day of shoreexploration that unfolds your way. You may choose to spend the day touring the Geirangerfjord, part of the West Norwegian Fjords UNESCO World Heritage Site, from the sea to the mountains with a local guide, including a gondola ride up to the Sunnmore "Alps" and lunch at a local restaurant. Or, stay onboard as your ship cruises to the charming village of Geiranger, disembarking for time at leisure to explore on your own, followed by a drive up Dalsnibba, Europe's highest glacier, for breathtaking scenic vistas from its nearly mile-high summit. Outdoor enthusiasts may opt to explore the fjord up close on a guided kayaking trip that ends with free time in Geiranger. It's all aboard late this afternoon as Le Boreal charts a course for Alesund. Have dinner at leisure tonight.

    Day 5

    Picturesque Alesund, the most important fishing harbor in Norway, spreads across seven islands on the Atlantic cost. You have a choice of sightseeing here today. One possibility is to join our local expert for a walking tour of the city's Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) architecture. Or join us for a panoramic sightseeing tour, driving from island to island through an intricate network of granite tunnels. If you enjoy active exploration, join a local guide for a bicycle tour of the city or discover the sights by water as you paddle a kayak with an expert guide. Return to your ship for lunch and an afternoon of cruising as our onboard expert shares insights about life in Norway and Sweden.

    Day 6

    Explore Stavanger, Norway's oil capital, today on a choice of included excursions. Visit Swords in Rock, commemorating the Battle of Hafrsfjord in 872, when Norway's first king united the individual states of the region as one kingdom. Step back to prehistoric times at the interpretive Iron Age Farm, an archaeological site where ancient people shared long buildings with animals at one end and their owners at the other. End your sightseeing with a return to modern day during a visit to the Norwegian Petroleum Museum. As an alternative, join a local guide on a fascinating walking tour of Old Stavanger, a settlement of small white wooden houses from the 1800's on narrow streets paved by ballast blocks. This afternoon, your yacht sails the Lysefjord with viewss of the steep cliff, Preikestolen, known as the "Pulpit Rock."

    Day 7

    Enjoy your ship's amenities and a presentation by our onboard expert during a morning of cruising. Arrive in the village of Arendal midday for a walking tour and free time to explore until we sail for Sweden this evening.

    Day 8

    Welcome to Sweden's second largest city, Goteborg (Gothenburg), laced with canals, parks, flower gardens and riverside pleasures. Discover the sights today as you wish; enjoy an easy-paced excursion that takes you for a visit to the Volvo Museum, chronicling the history and development of the iconic Swedish cars from 1927 on; see the long streets of Langgatorna; the magnificent green landscapes of Kungsparken, a city-center park completed in the mid 1850s that hugs a zigzagging canal; and lovely views of Kungsportsavenyn, inspired by the Champs-Elysees and known to the locals simply as "Avenyn" or "the avenue." Manicured floral landscapes highlight today's other included choice with a guided visit to the city's Botanical Garden, one of the largest botanical gardens in Europe and spread out on close to 100 acres in a vast nature reserve; walk and wander as you like. Return to the ship for lunch and sail away for Oslo.

    Day 9

    Disembark ship in Oslo after breakfast for a city tour. Visit the Viking Ship Museum to see two of the world's best-preserved wooden Viking ships. Learn about Norway's historic polar expeditions at the Fram Museum, with an onboard look at the wooden polar ship Fram. Then discover Norway's favorite sculptor, Gustav Vigeland, on a guided walk at Frogner Sculpture Park, the world's largest sculpture park featuring the work of a sinlge artist. Tonight join us for a farewell reception and dinner at your hotel. The Grand Hotel Oslo, a landmark near the Royal palace, first opened its doors in 1874, attracting a celebrity clientele of international guests, world leaders, movie stars, writers and Nobel Peace Prize laureates
